Flood Warning issued August 9 at 4:46PM EDT until August 9 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
counties, Lycoming and Tioga.
* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 446 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the
warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 4
inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Jersey Shore, Mansfield,
Wellsboro, Morris, Montgomery, Blossburg, Duboistown,
Covington, Arnot, Millerton, Buttonwood, Ralston, Ogdensburg,
Trout Run, Cogan Station, English Center, Loyalsockville and
Collomsville.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
