Flood Watch issued August 9 at 3:35PM EDT until August 10 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern New York, including
the following areas, in east central New York, Northern Warren,
Schoharie, Western Albany, Western Greene, Western Schenectady and
Western Ulster. In eastern New York, Hamilton, Montgomery,
Northern Fulton, Northern Herkimer, Southern Fulton and Southern
Herkimer.
* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas, as well as
scattered to numerous instances of flash flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread heavy will continue into this evening, with storm
total rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 3 inches with locally up to
5 inches in the higher terrain of the eastern Catskills and
southern Adirondacks, as the remnants of Debby move across
the region.
