Description
New Freedom Borough is currently accepting resumes for the position of Public Works. This is skilled work and manual labor involved with the operations and maintenance of the water and street system, public buildings and grounds, and storm sewer collection system.
Applicant shall possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, ability to operate equipment for sustained periods of time (in excess of eight hours), ability to enter confined spaces, ability to lift heavy objects, operational and repair knowledge of small equipment, trucks, street sweepers, leaf machines, etc. Other duties as described in the public works job description available upon request.
New Freedom offers a competitive salary and benefit package. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with 24 hour on call availability in the event of emergencies.
