Flood Warning issued August 9 at 11:25AM EDT until August 9 at 1:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
counties, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland,
Tioga and Union.

* WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1119 AM EDT, emergency management reported ongoing
flooding in portions of the warned area, with the Lycoming
Creek basin in central Lycoming County continuing to be
impacted by small stream flooding and road closures. Between
2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Williamsport, Trout Run, Sunbury, Milton, Lewisburg,
Montoursville, Jersey Shore, Northumberland, Mansfield,
Mifflinburg, Wellsboro, Carroll, Winfield, Morris,
Watsontown, Montgomery, Blossburg, Linntown, Avis, Duboistown
and New Columbia.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain, low water crossings are potentially dangerous in
heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate
route.
