Heat Advisory issued August 9 at 2:12AM CDT until August 9 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Temperatures as high as 104 and heat index values up to
110.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the
Coastal Prairies, the I-35 Corridor, and a part of the Hill
Country.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.
