Description
Flood Advisory issued August 8 at 7:30PM EDT until August 8 at 10:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
counties, Adams and Franklin.
* WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 728 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Up to one
inch of additional rainfall is possible over the next 1 to 2
hours. The threat for flooding will continue into Friday as
multiple rounds of heavy rain pass through the area.

Chambersburg, Hanover, Waynesboro, Gettysburg, Shippensburg,
Hampton, Guilford, St. Thomas, Littlestown, Carroll Valley,
Fayetteville, McSherrystown, Lake Meade, Wayne Heights,
Bonneauville, New Oxford, Mont Alto, East Berlin, Scotland
and Lake Heritage.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
