Although we are in the swing of summer activities to include the Alpha Fire Company Fireman's Carnival (August 5th - August 10th) and Good Ole Days (August 17th), it is time to start thinking about fall and winter. I am looking to host a Community Planning Committee to explore a fall/Halloween event for the youth of the community as well as Christmas on the Square. The initial meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 6th at 3:00 p.m., location to be determined. While I understand this is a weekday, future meetings can be moved to evenings or Saturdays as needed.
If you are interested in participating, please look for an updated announcement to be posted as soon as the location is confirmed. If you are not able to attend a daytime meeting but would like to be involved or just to find out more, please email me at mayor@littlestownboro.org.
As I am new to this position, I have recently posted the duties of the mayor on the Borough's website, littlestownborough.org. Should you have any questions about the mayor's role please feel free to reach out via email. I am not in the office on a regular basis but can access email quickly. I will be setting up office hours this fall, and I attend council meetings where I am available to meet with anyone who would like to speak with me. The next council meeting is scheduled for August 13th at 6:30 p.m. At the Alpha Fire Company, 40 East King Street, rear entrance.
