Flood Watch issued August 6 at 10:35PM EDT until August 7 at 12:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, including the following
area, New Castle, New Jersey, including the following areas,
Camden, Coastal Ocean, Eastern Monmouth, Gloucester, Hunterdon,
Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Salem,
Somerset, Southeastern Burlington, Sussex, Warren and Western
Monmouth, and Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Berks,
Carbon, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lehigh,
Lower Bucks, Monroe, Northampton, Philadelphia, Upper Bucks,
Western Chester and Western Montgomery.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become
clogged with debris.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A cold front continues to move across the region through
Wednesday morning. This front will interact with tropical
moisture associated with Tropical Storm Debby to result in
heavy downpours over the area. A widespread 1 to 3 inches of
rain has fallen, with local amounts exceeding 5 inches. Rain
continues tonight through Wednesday morning, and an
additional 1 to 2 inches of rain with additional localized
amounts exceeding 3 inches.
