West central Armstrong County in west central Pennsylvania...
* Until 330 PM EDT.
* At 249 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mars, or near
Cranberry, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines, resulting in some
power outages.
* Locations impacted include...
Ross Township, McCandless Township, Cranberry, Franklin Park,
Aliquippa, Beaver Falls, Monaca, Shaler Township, Plum, Hampton
Township, New Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison Township,
Economy, Ambridge, Wexford, New Brighton, Fox Chapel, Arnold, and
Beaver.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 20 and 47.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 70 and 85.
Parkway North between mile markers 11 and 13.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 40 and 47.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
