Special Weather Statement issued August 6 at 12:30AM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 1229 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Jersey Shore, moving east northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Muncy, Hughesville, Montgomery,
Duboistown, Lairdsville, Collomsville, South Williamsport, Garden
View, Picture Rocks, Oval, Williamsport Airport, and Little League
World Series Complex.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
