Flood Advisory issued August 4 at 2:08PM CDT until August 4 at 5:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Travis and Williamson.
* WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 208 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Austin, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Anderson Mill, Austin
Bergstrom Int Airport, Leander, Lakeway, Manor, Lago Vista,
West Lake Hills, Hudson Bend, Rollingwood, Mansfield Dam,
Barton Creek, Hornsby Bend, Jonestown, Sunset Valley,
Volente, Camp Mabry and Jollyville.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
