Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 3 at 6:08PM EDT until August 3 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ

At 607 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Kennett Square to Calvert to near Hollywood
Beach, moving east at 30 mph. This line of storms has a history of
producing wind damage in northeastern Maryland.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Newark, Middletown, West Chester, Chester, Coatesville,
Westtown, Carneys Point, Downingtown, Elsmere, Kennett Square, New
Castle, Oxford, Parkesburg, West Grove, Delaware City, Newport,
Arden, Glen Roy, and Stanton.

This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 314 and 325.
Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 3.
Interstate 95 in Delaware between mile markers 1 and 23.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should seek shelter inside a well-built structure and away from
windows.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
