Heat Advisory issued August 1 at 3:48AM EDT until August 2 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...Heat index values ranging from 98 to 103 degrees expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, central, northern, and
southern New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Limited relief from the heat overnight, with
muggy conditions and low temperatures in the mid 70s.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
