Special Weather Statement issued July 24 at 9:12PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL

At 912 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hawthorne, or 8 miles south of Melrose, moving north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Keystone Heights, Melrose, Hawthorne, Melrose Landing, Orange
Heights, Lake Geneva, Florahome, Johnson, and Putnam Hall.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
