Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 23 at 8:20PM EDT until July 23 at 8:45PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL
At 820 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located just east of
Melrose, or near Putnam Hall, moving northwest at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Keystone Heights, Melrose, Hawthorne, Melrose Landing, Orange
Heights, Lake Geneva, Florahome, Johnson, Putnam Hall, and Lochloosa.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
