Special Weather Statement issued July 22 at 4:31PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL

At 431 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Rochelle, or 9 miles southeast of Gainesville, moving northeast at 5
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy
rainfall.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hawthorne, Orange Heights, Gainesville Airport, Newnans Lake,
Rochelle, Waldo, and Grove Park.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
