Excessive Heat Warning issued July 16 at 2:08PM EDT until July 16 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...For the Excessive Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values up to 108. For the Heat Advisory, heat
index values up to 102 expected.
* WHERE...South-central Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...For the Excessive Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT this
evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 8 PM EDT
Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an
air-conditioned room.
The heat may be life-threatening to the elderly and those in poor
health, due to prolonged exposure without air conditioning.
