Excessive Heat Warning issued July 15 at 10:56AM EDT until July 16 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...For the Excessive Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values up to 107. For the Heat Advisory, heat
index values up to 103 expected.
* WHERE...Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon,
Perry, and York Counties.
* WHEN...For the Excessive Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT Tuesday. For
the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM Tuesday to 8 PM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an
air-conditioned space.
The heat may be life-threatening to the elderly and those in poor
health, due to prolonged exposure without air conditioning.
