Heat Advisory issued July 14 at 9:50PM EDT until July 15 at 12:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Oppressive heat with peak heat index values around 100
Monday afternoon and close to 105 degrees Tuesday afternoon.
* WHERE...Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon,
Perry, and York Counties.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until noon EDT Monday. For the
Excessive Heat Warning, from noon Monday to 8 PM EDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an
air-conditioned room.
The heat may be life-threatening to the elderly and those in poor
health, due to prolonged exposure without air conditioning.
