Thursday, July 11, 2024 - 3:53 P.M. UPDATE on ABRAXAS ACADEMY ESCAPEE
We are very happy to report this update that the remaining Abraxas Academy escapee Dustin LOMAS, age 16 of Bucks County, PA was taken into custody last evening by the Falls Township Police Department in Bucks County and is currently at the Bucks County Youth Detention Center. Our department has been in contact through out the day with Abraxas Academy, Bucks County Juvenile Probation and PA State Police to gather information.
We will continue to work with representatives of Abraxas Academy to have a follow up meeting to gather information to be provided to our community regarding the escape and what steps they are taking to make additional improvements to better secure their facility. I'm hoping that their is a meeting in the very near future to address our concerns that have been raised recently by our Board of Supervisors and our community. I will keep you all informed on the outcome.
The Caernarvon Township Police Department would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this incident in New Morgan Borough. We want to remind you that the primary law enforcement for New Morgan Borough is the Pennsylvania State Police and we only respond to assist them when advised of issues.
