Heat Advisory issued July 9 at 2:45PM EDT until July 10 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Oppressive heat with afternoon heat index values between
100 and 105.
* WHERE...A portion of South-Central PA and the Lower Susquehanna
Valley
* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...High temperatures and humidity may cause heat illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...In addition to the daytime heat, overnight
low temperatures will also be very warm and oppressively muggy.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun, and stay in an
air-conditioned room.
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances. This is especially true during hot weather
when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of
minutes. LOOK BEFORE YOU LOCK.
In addition to the daytime heat, overnight low temperatures will
also be very warm and oppressively muggy.
