Description
As of July 6, 2024, Hurricane Beryl is expected to intensify and make landfall late Sunday into Monday. Here are the latest updates and advisories:
Current Status: Beryl is currently a strong tropical storm with wind speeds around 60 mph and is expected to strengthen to hurricane status before landfall.
Timing: Landfall is anticipated late Sunday into Monday. Be prepared for severe weather conditions during this period.
Winds and Surge: Hurricane-force winds and life-threatening storm surges are expected along portions of the lower and middle Texas coast. Residents should secure property and heed evacuation orders if given.
Rainfall and Flooding: Heavy rainfall is forecasted, with the potential for flash and urban flooding starting late Sunday and continuing through mid-week. Ensure you have supplies and avoid travel during heavy rain.
