Heat Advisory issued July 6 at 5:47AM EDT until July 6 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
* WHAT...Heat index values of 108 to 111 expected.
* WHERE...West central and southwest Florida.
* WHEN...From noon today to 6 PM EDT today.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses to occur.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.
