Special Weather Statement issued June 29 at 8:26PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 825 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Gettysburg, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Hanover, Gettysburg, Parkville, Hampton, Littlestown, McSherrystown,
Lake Meade, Spring Grove, Pennville, Bonneauville, New Oxford, East
Berlin, Lake Heritage, Cashtown, Aspers, Orrtanna, Biglerville,
Abbottstown, Arendtsville, and York Springs.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
