Special Weather Statement issued June 23 at 4:13PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 413 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Glassport, or over McKeesport, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Monroeville, Greensburg, McKeesport,
Jeannette, Plum, West Mifflin, Baldwin, Murrysville, Wilkinsburg,
Whitehall, South Park Township, Munhall, Jefferson Hills, North
Versailles, Brentwood, Swissvale, O'hara Township, and Pleasant
Hills.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 54 and 57.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 51 and 80.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 72 and 84.
