Excessive Heat Watch issued June 18 at 2:42PM EDT until June 23 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 97. For the
Excessive Heat Watch, dangerously hot conditions with heat index
values up to 105 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, central and southwestern
New Jersey, and far southeastern Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 6 AM EDT Thursday. For the
Excessive Heat Watch, from Thursday morning through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
