Special Weather Statement issued June 17 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Ford City to near
Homer City to Lawson Heights to near Scottdale to West Liberty.
Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. The strongest wind will likely
occur ahead of any rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Washington, Uniontown, Latrobe, Connellsville, Waynesburg, Homer
City, West Liberty, Triadelphia, Clearview, Valley Grove, Monessen,
California, Donora, Mount Pleasant, Scottdale, Charleroi, Masontown,
McChesneytown-Loyalhanna, Blairsville, and Youngwood.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in West Virginia between mile markers 9 and 14.
Interstate 70 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0 and 50, near
mile marker 52, and between mile markers 55 and 57.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 75 and 99.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 7 and 38.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Pittsburgh.
