Excessive Heat Watch issued June 16 at 3:24AM EDT until June 21 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH
* WHAT...Prolonged period of dangerously hot conditions with heat
index values around 100 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana and
central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Monday afternoon through Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those
working or participating in outdoor activities.
Be prepared to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
