Description
A message from YCSPCA.
I am writing to inform you that our stray canine intake policy will change as of Monday, July 1, 2024. Beginning on that date, we will only accept stray dogs from a contracted animal control officer, a York County police officer, or a state dog warden. This means we will not accept strays from public citizens, regardless of whether or not their municipality contracts with us for services. This policy change aligns us with animal shelter best practices in our region and across the United States.
Public citizens who bring stray dogs to the shelter will not be admitted into the shelter and will be asked to contact the canine transportation service provider in their municipality.
