Flood Warning issued May 31 at 5:12AM CDT until May 31 at 8:15AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central and north central Texas, including the
following counties, in central Texas, Bosque, Falls, Hill,
Limestone and McLennan. In north central Texas, Ellis, Johnson and
Navarro.
* WHEN...Until 815 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is ongoing or imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain
due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch
are possible.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grand Prairie, Waco, Mansfield, Cedar Hill, Burleson,
Waxahachie, Cleburne, Ennis, Midlothian, Hewitt, Glenn
Heights, Red Oak, Robinson, Bellmead, Hillsboro, Woodway,
Lacy-Lakeview, Keene, Marlin and Joshua.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
