Special Weather Statement issued May 27 at 12:13AM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 1213 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Mechanicsburg to Weigelstown to Parkville.
Movement was northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Harrisburg, York, Lower Allen, Hanover, Hershey, Weigelstown,
Elizabethtown, Columbia, Middletown, Mount Joy, New Cumberland,
Parkville, Red Lion, Steelton, Spry, Hummelstown, Dallastown, Shiloh,
East York, and Stonybrook-Wilshire.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
