Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 26 at 3:44PM EDT until May 26 at 4:15PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH
At 344 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Ashville to 10 miles northwest of Hocking Hills
State Park to near Mcarthur, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include...
Lancaster, Logan, Nelsonville, Bremen, Hocking Hills State Park,
Hide-A-Way Hills, Starr, Amanda, Stoutsville, Laurelville, Sugar
Grove, Rushville, Tarlton, West Rushville, Fairfield County Airport,
US Route 22 at State Route 159, Ilesboro, Haydenville, South
Bloomingville, and Clearport.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
If on or near a lake, get away from the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
