The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southern Fairfield County in central Ohio...
Hocking County in central Ohio...
Southeastern Pickaway County in central Ohio...
Eastern Ross County in south central Ohio...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 313 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles south of New Holland to 7 miles southeast of
Chillicothe to near Clarktown, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
Lancaster, Chillicothe, Logan, Nelsonville, Bremen, Kingston,
Hocking Hills State Park, Hide-A-Way Hills, Starr, Amanda,
Londonderry, Stoutsville, Laurelville, Carroll, Sugar Grove,
Adelphi, Rushville, Tarlton, West Rushville, and Fairfield County
Airport.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near a lake, get away from the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
