Special Weather Statement issued May 25 at 5:30PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 530 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles north of Palmyra to Mechanicsburg.
Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Harrisburg, Lebanon, Lower Allen, Hershey, Colonial Park, Progress,
Mechanicsburg, Middletown, Camp Hill, Palmyra, New Cumberland,
Linglestown, Enola, Steelton, Annville, Lemoyne, Hummelstown,
Cornwall, Paxtonia, and Schlusser.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
