Special Weather Statement issued May 22 at 3:45PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 344 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Canton to near Montoursville. Movement was
northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Williamsport, Montoursville, Muncy, Hughesville, Montgomery, Overton,
Kettle Creek Gorge, Lairdsville, Ralston, Lincoln Falls, Barbours,
Shunk, Ricketts Glen State Park, Ogdensburg, Muncy Valley,
Loyalsockville, South Williamsport, Picture Rocks, Dushore, and
Laporte.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
central and north central Pennsylvania.
