Flood Warning issued May 18 at 8:33AM EDT until May 18 at 1:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Pennsylvania, including the
following county, Allegheny.
* WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 830 AM EDT, trained weather spotters and law enforcement
reported flooding ongoing across Allegheny County. Flooding
is already occurring. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Mount Lebanon, Ross Township,
McCandless Township, Moon Township, Franklin Park, Shaler
Township, Plum, North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Hampton
Township, Scott Township, Wilkinsburg, Robinson Township, New
Kensington, Lower Burrell, Harrison Township, Economy and
Dormont.
