Special Weather Statement issued May 15 at 9:54PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 954 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lago Vista, or 14 miles north of Dripping Springs, moving northeast
at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cedar Park, Leander, Lakeway, Lago Vista, Bee Cave, Hudson Bend, The
Hills, Mansfield Dam, Jonestown, Briarcliff, Point Venture, and
Volente.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
