Special Weather Statement issued May 13 at 1:21PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 121 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lago Vista, or 14 miles southeast of Marble Falls, moving northeast
at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Anderson
Mill, Windemere, Leander, Lakeway, Lago Vista, Hudson Bend, Liberty
Hill, Spicewood, Mansfield Dam, Jonestown, Briarcliff, Point Venture,
Volente, Brushy Creek, and Jollyville.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 PM CDT for
south central Texas.
