Special Weather Statement issued May 8 at 4:49AM EDT by NWS State College PA

At 448 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Enola to 10 miles north of Gettysburg.
Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Harrisburg, York, Carlisle, Lower Allen, Hershey, Colonial Park,
Weigelstown, Elizabethtown, Progress, Mechanicsburg, Middletown, Camp
Hill, Palmyra, New Cumberland, Linglestown, Enola, Steelton,
Annville, Lemoyne, and Hummelstown.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
