Flash Flood Warning issued May 5 at 3:17AM CDT until May 5 at 6:15AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Hill County in central Texas...
McLennan County in central Texas...

* Until 615 AM CDT.

* At 317 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Waco, Hewitt, Robinson, Bellmead, Hillsboro, Woodway,
Lacy-Lakeview, McGregor, West, Mart, Whitney, Beverly Hills,
Lorena, Itasca, Bruceville-Eddy, Hubbard, Moody, Valley Mills,
Riesel and Crawford.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
