NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CRAFTON BOROUGH - ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
Sealed Proposals will be received by Crafton Borough through PennBid until 10:30 A.M. prevailing time on Thursday, May 30, 2024, for the:
2024 CRAFTON BOROUGH ROAD PROGRAM
Base Bid
This project involves Pavement Maintenance of various roadways throughout Crafton Borough, including the following approximate quantities: 10,625 SY of Bituminous Milling (3.5”+/-), 531 SY of Soft Spot Repair, 1,250 TON of 2” 19mm Course Graded Superpave Binder Course, 10,625 SY of 1.5” 9.5mm Fine Graded Superpave Wearing Course, 1,487 LF Bituminous Wedge Curb, Raising 2 Inlets, Raise 1 manhole, Site Restoration, Traffic Control, Photo Documentation, and Resident Notification, complete in place.

This project involves demolition of the existing guiderail and installation of approximately 240 LF of a new Type 31S guiderail, with 12’-6” spacing, in accordance with PennDOT Publication 408 and RC-51M; replacement of the bituminous wedge curb; and Photo Documentation, complete in place.
All proposals shall be submitted electronically via PennBid (www.PennBid.net), before 10:30 A.M. prevailing time on Thursday, May 30, 2024. At that time, Bids will be opened with results displayed publicly on PennBid and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee.
Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this contract.
There will be a Mandatory pre-bid being held at 10:30 am prevailing time on May 16, 2024, at the Crafton Borough Building, 100 Stotz Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15205. All bidders MUST be present.
