Special Weather Statement issued April 28 at 7:46AM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX

At 746 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Jarrell to near Bee Cave to near Santa
Clara to near Somerset to near Goldfinch. Movement was east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph, half inch hail, and rainfall up
to 1.5 inches.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
San Antonio, Austin, Round Rock, New Braunfels, Cedar Park,
Georgetown, San Marcos, Pflugerville, Schertz, Kyle, Seguin, Cibolo,
Universal City, Taylor, Live Oak, Buda, Lockhart, Pleasanton, Selma,
and Pearsall.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
