Borough of Edinboro Summer 2024 Project Schedule
The following projects will occur this summer. Dates are tentative, and some projects are weather-dependent. Please share with your neighbors!
Annual Paving
(TBD June through August; work will only take about 2 weeks once underway)
Dundon Road
Shelhamer Circle
Pineview Drive
Aspen Way (Pineview to dead end)
Sidewalk Repair Project
(TBD, likely roughly July through September)
Repairing broken sidewalk sections throughout the Borough
Harrison Drive Water Line
(April through May)
Year 2 of 2 replacing water line on Harrison Drive
Harrison Drive Storm Sewer
(May through June)
Storm sewer line repairs
Nature’s Outlet Improvements
(TBD July through September)
Year 2 of 2 for improvements to Nature’s Outlet Park: includes installation of additional sidewalk, lighting, and a gazebo with electricity
Wastewater Department
(Throughout the year)
Various sewer line and manhole work in the Shelhamer, Pineview, and Aspen area, with other areas of the Borough possible as well
Angling Road & 6N Intersection Change
(TBD 2024)
PennDOT will be adjusting this intersection to improve traffic safety, in collaboration with the Borough of Edinboro and Washington Township. The eastern-most entrance/exit to Angling Road will become one-way for westbound traffic only, much like a similar intersection at Rt. 99 in downtown McKean. This intersection is on PennDOT’s list of potential future projects to be funded, for a larger overhaul in a method yet to be determined.
Kayak Rental Service
(April – already installed!)
The Borough has partnered with a company called Rent.fun to offer a kayak rental service at the south boat launch along Lakeside Drive. Individuals can rent a kayak and life vest for a couple of hours at a time, through a convenient mobile app, at any time or day of the week.
