Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued April 17 at 7:46PM EDT until April 17 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 745 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Shanor-Northvue to McCandless Township to near
McDonald, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Law enforcement.

IMPACT...Trees snapped and uprooted. Power outages can be expected.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Cranberry, Butler, Franklin Park, Shaler Township, Plum,
North Side Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Hampton Township, Scott Township,
Wilkinsburg, Robinson Township, New Kensington, Lower Burrell,
Munhall, and Harrison Township.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for southwestern
and west central Pennsylvania.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
