Flood Warning issued April 12 at 12:43AM EDT until April 12 at 9:45AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest, west central, and western
Pennsylvania, including the following counties, in northwest
Pennsylvania, western Forest, Mercer and Venango. In west central
Pennsylvania, central Armstrong, Butler and Clarion. In western
Pennsylvania, Lawrence.

* WHEN...Until 945 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1239 AM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in
the warned area. Flooding is ongoing. Between 1.5 and 2
inches of rain have fallen.
- The heaviest rain has ended, though runoff from the recent
rain will continue to result in flooding. Additional rainfall
amounts are expected to be a quarter of an inch or less.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Castle, Hermitage, Butler, Oil City, Grove City,
Franklin, Clarion, Kittanning, Knox, Rimersburg, Homeacre-
Lyndora, Greenville, Sugarcreek, Shanor-Northvue, Meridian,
Slippery Rock, Meadowood, New Wilmington, Oakwood and New
Bethlehem.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
