Winter Storm Watch issued April 2 at 5:19AM EDT until April 5 at 6:00AM EDT by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Heavy snow and mixed precipitation possible. Total snow
and sleet accumulations of 7 or more inches. Ice accumulations
of a light glaze to a tenth possible over the higher terrain.
Winds could gust 45 to 60 mph.
* WHERE...The northern Berkshires of western Massachusetts,
southern Vermont, the western and southern Adirondacks,
Schoharie Valley, Glens Falls and northern Saratoga Region,
Helderbergs and the northern and eastern Catskills in eastern
New York.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through late Thursday night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute. Strong and gusty winds combined with heavy wet snow could
down large tree limbs, some trees and cause power outages.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is low to moderate confidence in the
exact amounts of snow and sleet at this time. However, snow will
be wet in consistency and accumulations on tree branches and
power lines combined with gusty winds could increase the threat
for power outages.
