I-79 Lane Restrictions This Week in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing single-lane restrictions in both directions on I-79 in Kennedy, Robinson, and Neville townships, and Glenfield Borough in Allegheny County will occur Wednesday through Friday, March 27-29 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur in both directions on I-79 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day between the I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A/B) interchange and the Neville Island Bridge. Crews will conduct work in the following areas:

I-79 between the I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A/B) interchange and approximately one-half mile north of the Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton (Exit 60 A/B) interchange
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, March 27-29
• Crews will survey and layout concrete patch work in both directions on I-79, including ramp restrictions requiring traffic shifts onto the shoulders at both interchanges on Thursday and Friday, March 28-29
• This work is related to the $14.97 million highway restoration project in Robinson and Kennedy townships
• Golden Triangle Construction Company, Inc. is the prime contractor for this project

I-79 between the South 60 Crafton (Exit 60A) and I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A/B) interchanges
• 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, March 27-28
• Crews will conduct litter cleanup in the median on southbound I-79 in Robinson Township
• PennDOT Department-force crews will conduct the work

I-79 between the Route 60 Crafton/Moon Run (Exit 60) interchange and the Neville Island Bridge.
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27
• Crews will conduct barrier wall painting during this mobile operation in both directions on I-79
• This work is related to the $43.9 million I-79 “S-Bend” Project in Kennedy, Robinson, and Neville townships, and Glenfield Borough
• Lindy Paving, Inc. is the prime contractor for this project

Work will be coordinated between the three projects. Please use caution when traveling through the work zones.
