Special Weather Statement issued March 20 at 6:58PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 657 PM EDT, snow showers were located near Oil City, moving
southeast at 35 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these snow showers.
Locations impacted include...
Oil City, Franklin, Clarion, Knox, Sugarcreek, Hasson Heights,
Seneca, Polk, Emlenton, Rouseville, Shippenville, St. Petersburg,
Kennerdell, Woodland Heights, Utica, Foxburg, Fryburg, and Cranberry
Township.
This includes Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 41
and 61.
Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel
conditions.
Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this intense
snow shower. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
are likely to lead to accidents. Consider delaying travel until the
squall passes your location.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
