Special Weather Statement issued March 10 at 8:20PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 819 PM EDT, snow showers were located over Plum, or near Penn
Hills, moving east at 25 mph.
Winds between 40-50 mph are possible with these snow showers.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Monroeville, Greensburg, Jeannette, Latrobe,
Plum, West Mifflin, Murrysville, Wilkinsburg, New Kensington, Lower
Burrell, North Versailles, Swissvale, O'hara Township, White Oak,
Forest Hills, Wilkins Township, Oakmont, and Duquesne.
This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 47 and 69, and between
mile markers 93 and 99.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 77 and 84.
Snow will lead to reduced visibilities and hazardous travel
conditions.
Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly
refreezes.
