Special Weather Statement issued March 10 at 2:19PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

At 217 PM EDT, snow showers were located along a line extending from
near Apollo to Emsworth. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

Visibility may quickly drop to less than one half of a mile in these
snow showers. Winds in excess of 35 mph are possible as well.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Moon Township, Greensburg, McKeesport, Franklin Park,
Jeannette, Latrobe, Shaler Township, Plum, West Mifflin, North Side
Pittsburgh, Baldwin, Murrysville, Hampton Township, Wilkinsburg, and
Whitehall.

This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 46 and 74.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 62 and 69.
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 10.
Interstate 376 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 67 and 84.

Use extreme caution if you encounter heavy snow while driving.
Bridges and overpasses will likely see at least a coating of snow
and could become slick. Slow down and allow extra time when
traveling. Increase the distance between your vehicle and those that
surround yours.
